Events Update

Hon’ble Mr. Justice, Anil R. Dave, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Hon’ble Ms Justice, Jyoti Singh, Judge, Delhi High Court participated in a webinar organized by Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) and Association of Jurists in association with Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh.

The webinar was organized on the topic Parameters & Limitations on Exercise of Jurisdiction-under Section 9 of Indian Arbitration Act. Advocate Vaibhav Agnihotri was the Moderator. Advocate Gagan Pardeep S. Bal welcomed the Guests while Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA & Chairman, Aryans Group extended Vote of Thanks to the guests.

Justice Anil R Dave enlightened the students of various law colleges of Punjab about the major issues involved in relation to jurisdiction in arbitration cases. Dave while speaking said that Litigation is increasing day by day and so as the work of the judges. He motivated the law students to opt for this field because of its increasing demand. He also gave in-depth analysis of jurisdiction, limitations of court while exercising it in arbitration cases which is much better than going to the Courts other way.

Justice Jyoti Singh discussed various landmark judgments on arbitration. She further discussed about “International Commercial Arbitration”

Students of many Law Colleges of Punjab including Amritsar Law College, CT Institute of Law, Jalandhar, GNDU Law College, Jalandhar; Amarjit Singh Memorial, Patiala; Geeta Institute of Law, BKSM Law College, Moga etc participated in the webinar.
